Ipe is one of hardest woods in the world, making it highly sought after in outdoor use. Density in its grains give it a natural resistance to water, rot and insects. We used contrasting dimensions and patterns in both the deck and bench to add to the uniqueness of the wood. Stainless steel fasteners were used for its resistance to rust and Penofin stain was used to seal the wood to lengthen its lifespan.
